North Shore
The North Shore is the easy answer when someone wants to walk to the river and still see downtown.

Overview

Coolidge Park and the Walnut Street Bridge are on the river, with downtown on the other side of the bridge. Frazier Avenue is the street the city is reworking beside the park.
Getting around

Frazier Avenue runs next to Coolidge Park. The city has published a plan for more room for people on foot, more on-street parking, and a bike route through Coolidge Park and Renaissance Park. The Walnut Street Bridge is the walking connection into downtown.
Things to do

The city describes Coolidge Park as a restored carousel, a play fountain, open space, views, and events. The Walnut Street Bridge is 2,376 feet long, was built in 1890, and is a pedestrian bridge tied to downtown.
